About the Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver quality software products for the Software as a Service (SaaS) market.

• Actively participate in all phases of product development; from requirements, design, and implementation to test and productizing ─ taking ownership of key components of the software architecture.

• Develop new, enhance, test, and maintain components of the applications.

• Create, maintain, and review requirements documents and design documents.

Technical Requirements

• 3-5 years of software development experience with JAVA, some C/C++, and experience with J2EE-based software solutions.

• Experience with distributed client/server products, demonstrating strong technical skills with multi-tiered architecture (preferably enterprise level and/or distributed architectures).

• 3-5 years experience with Java, web services and web-based technologies including XML, JBoss, EJBs, Java servlets, JSP Eclipse IDE.

• Working knowledge of IP Protocols; internet, web services, and related protocols and standards (i.e. SOAP, HTTP, HTML, XML, web server).

• Understanding of database concepts, and experience working with relational database products.

• Full product integration experience; including installation, configuration, API development, and systems management; with load, stress, and performance benchmarking exposure.

• Experience developing software solutions for different platforms using various operating systems (Linux or UNIX; Windows).

Operational and Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate design to team members.

• Knowledge of design patterns, re-factoring, and unit testing

• Complete understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle processes.

• Ability to operate in a dynamic, open, collaborative environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Bachelors of Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
